2) What data we process and why

We process the following personal data for the newsletter:

  • Email address (required), and optionally your first/last name if you provide it.
  • Technical metadata: date/time of subscription, IP address, and double opt-in status (to prove consent).
  • Engagement data from our email provider (e.g., delivery, open/click events) to measure performance and deliver emails reliably.

Purpose: to send you AURA news, updates, and marketing communications (newsletter).

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 7).

We may also send essential, non-marketing service messages related to your subscription on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), e.g., confirming your subscription, informing about policy changes, or resolving delivery issues.

3) How we collect your data

Directly from you via our website form. We use a double opt-in process: after you submit your email, we send a confirmation link to verify your address.

4) Who processes your data (processors/recipients)

We use reputable service providers to operate our newsletter and website. These providers act as our processors and process data only on our instructions:

  • Email platform: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), which provides our newsletter infrastructure (subscription management, delivery, analytics).
  • Hosting and IT support providers that keep this website and related systems running.

We do not sell your personal data. If required by law, we may disclose data to competent public authorities.

5) International transfers

Our primary email provider (Brevo) is established in the EU. If any sub-processing involves transfers outside the EEA, such transfers will be protected by appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses). You can request more information from us.

6) Retention

We keep your data until you withdraw consent or your email consistently bounces, or for the minimum period needed to demonstrate compliance (e.g., proof of consent). Thereafter, we delete or anonymise the data unless longer retention is required by law.

7) Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and obtain a copy.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) where applicable.
  • Restrict processing in certain cases.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing at any time.
  • Data portability for data you provided to us.
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

8) Unsubscribe / withdrawing consent

Every newsletter contains a clear Unsubscribe link. Clicking it immediately stops marketing emails to your address. You can also email us at privacy@your-domain.tld to withdraw consent.

If we use analytics (e.g., to understand site usage), we will request your consent where required and provide details in our Cookie Policy. Email tracking (opens/clicks) provided by our email platform helps us measure deliverability and engagement; you can opt out by unsubscribing.

10) Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and regular reviews of our processors and configurations.
